This is what I get for watching The Today Show.
This whole Jesse James/Sandra Bullock thing turns my stomach. Sandra Bullock wins an Oscar and less than two weeks later the tabloids dredge up some trash (don’t even get me started on the forehead tattoo) who admits to whoring it up with a married man.
It’s the angle that really disgusts me. I cannot even begin to imagine how humiliating this is and everyone from The Today Show to The National Enquirer is going to capitalize on this story for weeks BUT they’ll frame it in such a sympathetic manner that is seemingly absolves them of the further destruction and humiliation.
I used to love me my “girl porn” (what my husband calls People and US Weekly) but I gave it up a few years ago. These days I’m turning down the side of schadenfreude in favor of a side of empathy.
